RECENT CHANGES

The following changes were made to base ratings for production boats during recent meetings.  Ratings for custom boats and guest ratings are not included in this list.

Choucas - Jeanneau Sunfast 36 (36-2) - replacing keel with deeper, heavier one.  DR 6.83 vs 6.42, and BL 5080# vs 4630#.  Also adding masthead spinnaker. 90 JEAN 36-2 Mod -12
Desperado - Ranger 28 - from last month.  Rich Coar inspected boat and found the following: backstay now 48:1, lifeline stanchions on toe rail, no icebox or stove, no change to tankage or v-berth, table on bulkhead, 3 floor stringers, 5/8" plywood floor. 186 RNG 28 No Change
Early - Jeanneau 45 rudder replaced with one re-built to match original using plywood/fiberglass construction 87 JEAN 45 No Change
Firefly - Pearson Flyer - adding running backstays. 144 PSN FLY No Change
Wave Train - Swan 44-3 - letter from owner Watt Webb.  Wants to add 2' sprit to be used instead of pole.  Treat as penalty pole.   Also wants to know how we would treat IMS 175% spinnaker on pole that is .5' longer than J.  Boat has -9 for tall carbon mast.  No adjustment for IMS non-penalty spinnaker configuration. 75 SWN 44-3 No Change

Free-Fall - Swan 44-II - Bill McFaul - wants credit for factory installed crusing options. Not given.

Red Dog - Kalik 40 - Mike Brown - Added Bimini over helm at stern ~40 #. No credit.

Team Tonic - Beneteau First 42 - Jim Sanders - windlass with 75' 5/16 chain - +3.

Crew Weight Adjustments

Choucas - Jeanneau Sunfast 36 (36-2) - Frederic Cosandey - wants 1260 vs 1800 - + 3.

Finder II - Bristol 41.1 - Ruurd Leegstra - wants 1000# vs 2160. +3.

Reaction - db2 - Bob Giglia - has +3 for 1260# vs 1620 std. Change to +6.

Team Tonic - Beneteau First 42 - Jim Sanders - wants 1440#, vs 2160. +3.
