
The following changes were made to base ratings for production boats during recent meetings. Ratings for custom boats and guest ratings are not included in this list.
Click your mouse ONCE anywhere on the RIGHT side of your computer screen BEFORE you do your Print Command.. Otherwise by default your computer will print just the Table Of Contents on the left side of the computer screen.

Crew Weight Adjustments Googleplex - sail # 51880, X 412, Colin Rath, wants 1620# vs 2160# std. +3 Mr. Kiwitt asked that we review the adjustment of 6 seconds of credit for a 360# reduction in weight vs 3 seconds on those boats that had received such credit. The following boats were so identified, and adjustment in credit made as indicated. Avalanche - sail # 31767, Dufour V 35, 1260# vs 1620# std, +3 from +6 Luff Story - sail # 41939, Tartan 31, 900# vs 1260# std- +3 from +6 Mairah - sail # 3972, C&C 35-1, 1260# vs 1620# std, +3 from +6 On the Mark - sail #51101, Hunter 35.5, 1440# vs 1800 std, +3 from +6 Reaction - sail # 40367, db 2, 1260# vs 1620# std, +6 no change Snow Goose - sail # 11684, C&C 35-1, 1260# vs 1620# std, +3 from +6 White Lotus - sail #1113, Cal 25, 740# vs 1080# std, +6 no change Other Business Discussion was held on how to proceed with the assignment of distance ratings. After much discussion, it was decided to have a guideline of +/- 6 seconds from the existing rating in adjustment for the distance rating or the windward leeward rating, in those cases where the existing rating was primarily set for distance races. A larger adjustment would be considered for those cases where the observed performance warrants. A review of ratings of those boats that raced a distance race in 2002 was begun. As Bob Kendrick has held the position of chairman for three years, he has decided to resign from the chairmanship. MSC (motioned, seconded & carried) to open the floor to nominations for the position of chairman. Bob Kendrick nominated Mort Weintraub. As no other nominations were presented, MSC to close nominations and have the secretary cast one ballot to elect Mort as the new committee Chairman. Bob & Mort switched chairs. Mort thanked Bob for his past service. |
