0311 - Recent Changes

The following changes were made to base ratings for production boats during recent meetings. Ratings for custom boats and guest ratings are not included in this list.

Click your mouse ONCE anywhere on the RIGHT side of your computer screen BEFORE you do your Print Command.. Otherwise by default your computer will print just the Table Of Contents on the left side of the computer screen.

Cruising Credits J 80 Wild Wings, sail # 118, Peter Hilgendorff would like 900# vs 1080 std. Tabled Hinckley 38 Tall Mast Moxie, sail # 10095, Frank Gentile would like 900# vs 1800 std. Tabled. Other Business A question was raised regarding the maximum area allowed for a J 109 spinnaker. After reviewing the spinnakers used by the J 109's currently rated, and reviewing the output of the IACC asymmetrical spinnaker calculation for those spinnakers, it was decided that 1380 square feet was the maximum allowed. The Re-validation questionnaire from last year was reviewed. No changes were needed. The Committee members are requested to review the PHRF material published in the Handicap Racing Program and to let Bob Kendrick know of any desired/needed changes by next Thursday, Nov. 20. The committee, under the guidance of Rich Gold, continued it=s review of distance ratings for boat that had participated in a distance race in the past 2 years. Bob Kendrick updated the working list from last month with boats that participated this year. We are about one-half done. Mark Ploch and Bob Monro were requested to form a sub-committee to review those boats rated less than zero and report back in January.
