Business PHRF regulations were discussed. Changes to be drafted by Bob Kendrick and circulated for comment. Major changes under consideration: • Delete references to IMS and replace with specific wording or reference to ISAF RRS or ERS as appropriate • No longer need to report on number or length of mainsail battens • Current rules classify a jib as conforming to class standards for one designs or must be less than or equal to 50% mid-girth. To be left this way for non-spinnaker racing. For spinnaker racing, to be consistent with IRC jibs would have to be less than 75%. For 2005 consideration to be on a case by case basis. • Jibs over 100% may have battens. For 2005 consideration to be on a case by case basis. No meeting in December. The next meeting will be on January 13, 2005, 8PM, at the Larchmont Yacht Club. The meeting was adjourned at 9:30PM. Happy Holidays |
