Other Business

If a boat is rated for a 135% jib, they can=t use a whisker pole greater than 135% of J without penalty.

A question was asked form EBYRA as to whether boats with roller furling credits can set a jib unattached to the head stay, providing it is no bigger than the jib they are rated for. Rich Coar will contact EBYRA to see what the issue is.

J 109's receive no credit for sailing with the transom boxes, nor any penalty for sailing with out them. They are optional, removable items.

Lincoln Schoenberger suggested that we explore a formulaic method of assigning weight credits and credit for certain common cruising items so that less of the committee=s time can be spent on these routine items. We will look into this over the winter.

The next meeting will be on August 9, 2007, 8PM, at the Larchmont Yacht Club. The meeting was adjourned at 9:49 PM.

Respectfully submitted,

June Kendrick
