Notes and Modifications

Modified rigging by the elimination of the forward lower shrouds & increasing the size of the aft lower shrouds.

Replaced the old boom (appears to be original equipment but no way of knowing for sure).  The new boom weighs 43 pounds and the old boom weighs 41 pounds.  Same "E" measurement.

To comply with Federal and State environmental laws, I removed the old marine head which had a discharge thru hull of sewage and replaced it with a Thetford toilet which has a small fresh water tank and holding tank, each tank of approximately 2.5 gallons.  The mechanic who replaced the toilet estimated that the old marine toilet and related piping weighed approximately 35 pounds.  The Thetford toilet without water weighs 10 pounds, I fill the fresh water unit with 2 gallons of water and replace the water and empty the holding tank at the same time.  Thus, the approximate weight of the Thetford toilet and water/sewage is 24 pounds.  The Thetford toilet is secured down in the same location as the old marine toilet in the Head.
